Taiwan District of Kiwanis International of 45th Term Swings Out Its First Hit
Dr. Lin Kuo-hua Creates the Great Way Club of Kiwanis International
The Great Way Club of Kiwanis International, the first one newly founded by “Taiwan District of Kiwanis International” of the 45thterm, is scheduled to hold its accredited ceremony together with a Kiwanis night and a dinner on October 3 starting 4:00 p.m. at YungBaoWedding Palace in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City. The participants include politicians from both the ruling party and the non-ruling parties, the Representative from Kiwanis International, the Governor Yang Chien-kung of Taiwan District of Kiwanis International, the Chairman Chen Chih-hung of Taipei-1 Division, together with Presidents of its 37 Clubs and their fellow members totaling more than 200 people, making a cheerful and warm-hearted celebration.
“The Great Way Club of Kiwanis International” is launched by Prof. Dr. Lin Kuo-hua, a society expert. The founding President Lin Kuo-hua is an educationist in Chinese medicine with more than 10,000 students spreading across the Taiwan Straits and South East Asia. He is honored by a doctorate in clinical medicine obtained from the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in China and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the SouthwestMinnesota State University. Being zealous of the societies of public welfare in early years, Prof. Lin had acted as an important cabinet member of both Lions Club International and Rotary International, also partaken of Double Tenth Club of Taichung-2 Division, Kiwanis International of the 35th Term. Besides teaching in the Universities, the founding President Lin Kuo-hua is concurrently the founding Chairman of Taiwan Progressive Party, the founding Chairman of China Folklore Knead Rehabilitation Association, the founder of Goddess of Mercy Buddhist Charitable Society, and the founding Chairman of China Wine Industry Development Association…etc. “The Great Way Club of Kiwanis International”, with more than 30 founding fellow members, includes professors, entrepreneurial leaders, professionals and retired public officials, half of whom are featured by a doctorate or a master’s degree.
The Kiwanis International, with its headquarters established in theUnited States of America, is one of the three largest serviceable organizations worldwide. With an objective of “serving the children of the world”, the establishment is defined as a global society of public welfare, upholding the spirit of one step with one footprint, devoted to serving the children and communities, and reshaping the world. The Taiwan District of Kiwanis International, with more than 16,000 fellow members, entertains the largest country membership in the world. The whole country is made up of 17 divisions. The Great Way Club of Kiwanis International belongs to Taipei-1 Division with a range covering NewTaipei City,Keelung City, and Yilan County. Each term of the Club of Kiwanis International starts from October 1 to September 30 of the following year.
